Daniel Seuzeneau began his career at 22 as a patrolman with the Slidell Police Department — the largest municipality in St. Tammany Parish. More than twenty years later, his badge has never said anything but St. Tammany.
He worked his way up the hard way: detective in the Criminal Investigations Division with service on an FBI task force, sergeant leading homicide, carjacking, and armed-robbery investigations, SWAT hostage and crisis negotiator — the operator's résumé. Then he proved he could run the operation, managing Slidell PD's $18 million-plus budget as Chief Administrative Officer and leading the department as Interim Chief of Police.
He's a husband and the father of two daughters, with a B.S. in marketing and an MBA from Louisiana Tech University.

Accountability isn't a slogan.
In March 2026, a Slidell corrections officer was arrested by federal agents on charges involving the attempted enticement of a minor. Daniel didn't minimize it, and he didn't hide from it. He condemned it publicly — saying plainly that the man had tarnished the badge — and cooperated fully with federal authorities.
That is the standard he will bring to the Sheriff's Office: no exceptions, no cover, no spin.
